An arbitration clause contained in a settlement agreement, by which all disputes between the parties are referred to federation arbitration or, at the option of one party, to the ordinary courts, produces effects exclusively as between the signatories to that agreement; it is not enforceable against joint and several co-obligors who were not parties to the agreement, who accordingly retain the right to litigate before the ordinary courts in accordance with the general rules on jurisdiction.
