The arbitration clause contained in the principal contract does not automatically extend to parties who have provided a guarantee in respect of the contractual obligations, with the guarantors remaining bound exclusively by the guarantee without becoming parties to the contract containing the arbitral clause, save for different and specific agreement which expressly extends to them the efficacy of the arbitration agreement.
