Pursuant to art. 825 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the party seeking to enforce the award must file the award in the original or a certified copy, together with the instrument containing the arbitration agreement, in the original or a certified copy; the certification of conformity by the party’s lawyer is insufficient for this purpose, as counsel’s power of certification is limited to copies of procedural documents filed by the parties or judicial orders under arts. 196 octies and novies of the Code of Civil Procedure.
