Where a dispute arises from separate contracts each containing a substantially identical arbitration clause, and the claims arising under the respective contracts are inextricably linked to the overall economic relationship between the parties, the president of the court, in exercising the power to appoint an arbitrator under Article 810 of the Code of Civil Procedure, may appoint a single arbitrator so as to ensure that the dispute is dealt with as a whole.
