Legal Principle

In proceedings for the appointment of an arbitrator under art. 810 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the President of the court is required to proceed with the appointment without conducting an in-depth review of the validity of the arbitration agreement, it being sufficient to verify that the arbitration clause is not manifestly non-existent and does not manifestly provide for foreign arbitration.
