Legal Principle
An arbitral award, when challenged, only becomes final upon the res judicata of the judgment dismissing the challenge; therefore, for the purposes of the commencement of the limitation period for the claim established in the award and the rights deriving therefrom, the dies a quo must be identified as the date of the decision concluding the challenge proceedings and not the date of issue of the award itself.
