The application for a declaration of enforceability of an arbitral award must be filed, pursuant to Article 825 of the Code of Civil Procedure, with the registry of the court in whose district the seat of the arbitration is located, with the consequence that a court of a district other than that in which such seat is located lacks territorial jurisdiction to rule on the application for exequatur.
