Legal Principle

The extension of the time limit for filing the arbitral award, pursuant to Article 820 of the Code of Civil Procedure, may be granted by the president of the competent court where the timeliness of the relevant application and the existence of adequate justifying reasons are established, to be assessed with reference to the activity already carried out by the arbitrators and to that still to be performed.
